Spezia player Kevin Cannavò monitors injury with Malta national team

Spezia attacker Kevin Cannavò is currently managing a muscular injury while with the Malta national team. Although he was not included in the initial 26-man squad for the Nations League match against Andorra, and did not feature on the bench during Malta's 2-1 victory, Malta's coach Emilio De Leo has opted to keep him with the group to monitor his recovery.

Cannavò has been training at the Ta' Qali Sports Complex and has undergone MRI scans to assess his condition. His return to Spezia depends on his progress; he may remain with the Maltese squad for their upcoming fixtures against Liechtenstein and Gibraltar, potentially returning to Italy around October 4. Alternatively, if his recovery requires more specialized monitoring, he may return to Liguria sooner to continue individual training ahead of Spezia's match against Reggiana.
