Spider Island film to release horror-comedy set in Mauritius

The film ‘Spider Island’, directed by Christopher Smith, is set to be released in cinemas on October 30. The production, filmed in Mauritius, is a horror-comedy that follows a group of influencers attending the opening of a luxury hotel called Pearl Haven. What begins as a viral social media event turns into a fight for survival when the island is overrun by deadly spiders.

Producer James Richardson of Vertigo Films stated that the project aims to bridge the gap between traditional cinema and social media creators. The cast includes Rose Williams, Tim McInnerny, and Anuschka Van Lent.
