Spider-Man: Brand New Day slated for July release with new trailer and free game costume
Sony Pictures released a second trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth solo Marvel film starring Tom Holland. The preview shows Hulk, the Justiceiro and an invisible villain, and hints at a dramatic physical transformation for Peter Parker as he protects a New York that has forgotten his identity. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the movie also features Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Jon Bernthal as the Justiceiro, Michael Mando as Escorpião and other newcomers. The film will open in Brazilian cinemas on 29 July (a day earlier than originally announced) after ticket pre‑sales began on 17 July. In parallel, Insomniac Games announced a free “Fresh Start” costume for Marvel’s Spider‑Man 2, released on 28 July to celebrate the movie’s launch. Director Cretton’s comment that audiences should watch the film “as if it were the last Spider‑Man” sparked fan speculation about whether this will be Tom Holland’s final appearance in the role. The combined promotional push underscores the franchise’s high profile ahead of its summer debut.
