Spider-Man: A Whole New Day approaches digital release after record box office

The latest Spider-Man film, ‘Spider-Man: A Whole New Day’, is approaching its digital release following massive global success. The film has earned approximately $2.48 billion worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing film in history, trailing only ‘Avatar’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’. In North America, it earned $946.6 million, surpassing the previous record held by ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.

While Sony Pictures has not yet issued an official announcement, reports suggest a digital premiere on PVOD platforms like Apple TV or Prime Video could occur as early as October 6. Other industry indicators, such as listings for Blu-ray and 4K physical media, point toward a mid-November window for home releases. Despite the upcoming digital availability, the film is expected to remain in theaters through mid-November.
