Spider-Man: Brand New Day has achieved historic success, becoming the sixth highest-grossing film of all time with a global total of approximately $2.22 billion. In North America, the film has earned over $854 million, positioning it to potentially become the highest-grossing domestic release in history.
Other major cinematic successes include Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which has become the highest-grossing R-rated film ever, reaching nearly $1.44 billion globally. The horror sequel Insidious: Out of the Further has also performed strongly, debuting with significant weekend earnings and contributing to a robust summer box office season that has seen total 2026 domestic revenues surpass $7 billion.
Regional markets show varied dominance: The Odyssey held the top spot in South Korea with a 66.3% market share, while Spider-Man: Brand New Day led the box office in Spain and maintained its position in the United States. In Brazil, the Spider-Man film recorded the largest opening of the year.
