Spider-Man: Brand New Day leak on X and Tom Holland stresses hero role

A pirated copy of the new Spider-Man film "Brand New Day" was uploaded to the X platform under the account name Fredrick Bryan. The video remained online for about nine hours, reaching roughly 5.9 million accounts, receiving more than 143 thousand likes and over 10 thousand shares before the studio issued a copyright takedown. Other users also shared the clip, but most uploads were removed after the notice.

At the world premiere in Los Angeles, actor Tom Holland spoke about the responsibility of portraying a superhero role, emphasizing that the character Peter Parker should serve as a positive role model for young audiences. Holland said the film’s success would influence future installments of the franchise. The movie posted a record‑breaking $72 million in preview box‑office earnings, surpassing the previous high set by "Avengers: Endgame". Sony has not commented on the leak, while Universal confirmed it had initiated removal procedures.

The incident follows a recent high‑quality piracy leak of Christopher Nolan’s "The Odyssey", which was viewed 2.1 million times within a few hours before being taken down.
