Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer unveils new villains ahead of July 31 US release

Sony Pictures released a new 15‑second promo titled “Anyone” for Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, confirming a July 31 theatrical launch in the United States and a July 29 opening in Italy. The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers and Justin Kuritzkes, follows Tom Holland’s Peter Parker four years after he erased himself from public memory in No Way Home. Living alone in New York, he fights crime full‑time while his powers begin to change in dangerous ways.

The trailer and a behind‑the‑scenes video reveal that the movie will feature a roster of classic villains—including the Hand, Boomerang, Tombstone, Tarantanga, Scorpion, the Punisher and Hulk—each depicted in scenes that echo iconic Marvel comic‑book covers. Cast members returning include Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, with Sadie Sink joining in an undisclosed role.

Production took place from August to December 2025 in Glasgow, England and at Pinewood Studios. The narrative centers on Peter’s struggle to balance a solitary hero life with new threats, setting the stage for the next chapter of the MCU’s Phase Six.
