Spider-Man: Brand New Day promotion sees Tom Holland tout bright future
Tom Holland promoted the upcoming Marvel film Spider‑Man: Brand New Day during a global press tour that began with a photocall in Madrid and included stops in Shanghai, London, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Paris, Berlin, Rome and New York. While on the Spanish talk show “El Hormiguero,” Holland said the future of Spider‑Man is “really bright” and hinted at the introduction of “really exciting new characters.” The film, set to open on July 31, follows Peter Parker four years after the events of No Way Home and already broke trailer‑viewing records, reaching one billion views in four days.
At a fan event in Amsterdam, Holland disclosed a behind‑the‑scenes issue: a Spider‑Man emblem tattoo on the bottom of his foot was visible in a scene where he appears naked and upside‑down, requiring the visual‑effects team to digitally erase it. He described the moment as “awkward” and explained the extra work needed to remove the tattoo from the final cut.
