Spider-Man franchise news: Scrapped Daredevil team-up and comic milestones

An early draft of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ originally planned a legal team-up between Peter Parker and Daredevil. Co-writer Chris McKenna revealed that the scrapped storyline involved Parker living on a boat in Southeast Asia, fighting criminal gangs, and facing a cease-and-desist notice after an imposter legally trademarked the Spider-Man identity. In this version, Matt Murdock was intended to defend Parker in a courtroom battle against the imposter.

Separately, the Spider-Man franchise continues to see significant success. The Amazing Spider-Man comic is approaching its 1000th issue, marking a milestone for Marvel Comics.
