Spider-Man: Rebirth breaks box office records globally

Spider-Man: Rebirth has achieved significant commercial success, maintaining the number one box office position for five consecutive weeks in both Taiwan and North America. In Taiwan, the film has earned nearly NT$540 million, breaking previous records held by Spider-Man: No Way Home and setting a new high for Sony Pictures in the region.

Globally, the film's box office has surpassed $2.3 billion, approaching the record held by Avatar: The Way of Water. In North America, the film has earned over $892 million, ranking as the second highest-grossing film in the region's history.

The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, follows Peter Parker as he navigates life as a street-level hero without the support of Stark Industries or the Avengers. The narrative introduces new characters, including Frank Castle (played by Jon Bernthal) and Jean Grey (played by Sadie Sink), marking a new chapter for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
