Spider-Man: Brand New Day breaks presale record and unveils new trailer with Hulk

Sony Pictures released a new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, confirming the return of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk and showing the hero confronting a mysterious, invisible threat. The teaser reveals Peter Parker (Tom Holland) undergoing a physical transformation and seeking Banner’s help to suppress mutating DNA. The film also adds familiar faces Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón‑Zayas and Michael Mando, while returning cast members Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprise their roles.

The trailer’s release sparked massive fan buzz, with its first‑look video exceeding one billion views in four days and generating unprecedented pre‑sale interest. According to Deadline, Brand New Day posted the best first‑day presales in five years, outpacing recent MCU releases despite being excluded from United States IMAX screens because Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey occupies all IMAX auditoriums through mid‑August. The movie will instead debut in premium large‑format venues such as ScreenX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX and MX4D.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to open worldwide on July 31 2026 (July 29 in the UK). The story picks up four years after No Way Home, portraying a solitary Peter Parker battling crime in a city that no longer remembers him, while a new unseen villain threatens the city and his loved ones.
