SPIEL Essen board game fair set to break area and attendance records

The SPIEL 2026 board game fair in Essen is set to break records. Due to the addition of Hall 8, the event will occupy all halls of the exhibition grounds for the first time, covering a total area of 81,200 square meters.

Organizers expect up to 230,000 visitors. Early ticket sales indicate a potential record attendance, with approximately half of the central event day tickets already sold out as of late August. The fair features 921 exhibitors from 53 countries, showcasing over 1,500 new game releases.
