Spilinga and Diamante apply for Luminous Destinations 2027

The Italian municipalities of Spilinga and Diamante have submitted their candidacies for ‘Luminous Destinations 2027’, an initiative promoted by Visit Italy. The project aims to highlight Italian destinations that prioritize community-focused, sustainable, and high-quality tourism experiences.

Each year, a jury of industry experts selects ten destinations to be included in the Visit Italy ‘Luminous Atlas’ and honored at the BIT in Milan. The selection process focuses on locations that successfully balance tourism development with the preservation of local heritage, identity, and social inclusion.

Spilinga’s application emphasizes integrating tourism with local economic activities, rural territory, and cultural heritage, such as gastronomy and Monte Poro. Similarly, Diamante’s candidacy focuses on a vision where tourism serves as a tool to create services and value for residents, linking culture, environment, and local participation.
