Spinnaker Support launches PostgreSQL services to reduce Oracle dependency

Spinnaker Support has launched new PostgreSQL offerings aimed at helping enterprises reduce their reliance on proprietary Oracle database environments. The company is positioning PostgreSQL as a modernization path for organizations seeking greater flexibility and lower costs without incurring new vendor lock-in.

To manage the complexities of database modernization, Spinnaker is utilizing a workload-by-workload approach rather than requiring immediate, large-scale replacements. This strategy allows businesses to maintain existing Oracle environments while evaluating which specific workloads are suitable for migration.

The new service suite includes two primary components: Enterprise Software Support for PostgreSQL, which provides 24/7 support across on-premises, virtualized, containerized, and cloud environments, and Assessment and Migration Services. The latter uses HexaCluster and HexaRocket technology to evaluate Oracle workloads and dependencies before migration begins.
