Spire Global launches first satellites built at U.S. facility

Spire Global has successfully launched its first three satellites manufactured at its facility in Boulder, Colorado. The deployment took place via SpaceX’s Transporter-18 rideshare mission.

This launch represents a strategic milestone for the company, marking the expansion of its U.S. manufacturing footprint to support national security and defense requirements. The Boulder facility is designed for end-to-end satellite development, manufacturing, integration, and testing. Spire Global aims to leverage this domestic infrastructure to provide increased speed and supply chain resiliency for mission-specific space capabilities.

Combined with production capabilities in the United Kingdom and Europe, Spire Global maintains a total annual capacity of 300 to 400 satellites.

Financially, Spire Global reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $18.05 million, slightly below the consensus estimate of $18.53 million. The company reported an adjusted loss per share of $0.31, which was also wider than the expected $0.26. Despite these results, Canaccord Genuity analyst Austin Moeller maintained a buy rating and set a price target of $22.50 per share.
