Spiritbox releases new single ‘Mourning’ and music video

Canadian metalcore band Spiritbox has released a surprise new single titled ‘Mourning’ alongside an official music video. The track, released via Pale Chord and Rise Records, is the group’s first new material since their 2025 sophomore album, ‘Tsunami Sea’.

Co-directed by guitarist Mike Stringer and Alex Bemis, the music video marks a visual shift from the band’s previous black-and-white aesthetic to a more vivid, nature-focused presentation. Musically, the song blends melodic elements with the band’s signature heavy textures and atmospheric production.

The release precedes several major touring commitments. Spiritbox is scheduled to begin a UK and European headlining tour in September, featuring support from Jinjer and Dying Wish. Later in the year, the band will support Metallica in the United States and perform at the Good Things Festival in Australia.
