Spitz announces new album ‘kettle’ and 2027 nationwide tour

Japanese rock band Spitz has announced the release of their 18th original album, titled ‘kettle’, scheduled for November 25, 2026. The album features 13 tracks, including the song ‘Misuranu Ito’, which has appeared as a theme for the TBS drama ‘T-shirt ga Kawaku made’, and ‘Tomoshibi o Mamoru’, the opening theme for the third season of the anime ‘SPY×FAMILY’.

To support the release, the band will embark on the ‘SPITZ JAMBOREE TOUR 2027 “kettle”’, a nationwide tour spanning 13 cities and 28 performances. The tour is set to begin on March 6, 2027, at the Yokohama Arena.

Separately, the band’s 1994 classic ‘Sora mo Toberu Hazu’ has seen a resurgence in popularity, reaching third place on the Oricon Weekly Streaming Rapid Rise Chart. The surge follows its frequent use during the ‘24 Hour Television’ charity marathon on Nippon TV, where the song was played to support charity runner Mari Hoshino during her 80km run.
