Spitz hosts ‘Rokuman-sai’ music festival in Tokyo

The rock music event ‘Rokuman-sai: SPITZ Masamune Kusano’s Rock Continent Wanderlust Festival’ was held on September 22 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo. The event originated from Masamune Kusano’s radio program, ‘SPITZ Masamune Kusano’s Rock Continent Wanderlust Chronicles.’

This special one-night performance marked Spitz’s first live event featuring international artists, selected based on fan suggestions from their previous exhibition. The lineup included the Japanese alternative rock duo Hitsujibungaku, along with Scottish guitar-pop band Teenage Fanclub and the UK shoegaze band Ride.

Spitz opened the show with tracks such as ‘Utsukushii Hire’ and ‘Saraba Universe,’ including a cover of Cheap Trick’s ‘I Want You to Want Me.’ Following their set, the band members joined the audience to watch the remaining performers. The full event is scheduled for exclusive broadcast and streaming on WOWOW in December.
