Art exhibitions open in Split's Salon Galić and Pula's Stari Grad gallery

On July 17, Salon Galić in Split hosted the opening of "After Image / Second Skin," a multimedia exhibition by Croatian artist Nine Kurta. Curated by Ivana Meštrov, the show runs until August 29 and is free to the public. Kurta’s work blends installation, film, performance and site‑specific pieces that explore time, memory and archival practices.

Four days earlier, on July 14, the Stari Grad gallery in Pula presented the first solo exhibition of painter Mafalda Goldin, titled "Dodir trenutka" (Touch of the Moment). The exhibit, featuring oil‑on‑canvas works inspired by everyday and marine scenes, will remain on view until June 2026 with evening opening hours. Goldin, a member of the Istrian artists' association ULIKS since 2019, showcases a figurative style marked by balanced colour and light.

Both events highlight contemporary Croatian visual art and are open for visitors seeking to engage with current artistic practices in the region.
