Split City Administration responds to Pujanke neighborhood protests

The City of Split has responded to protests by residents of the Pujanke neighborhood regarding local living conditions and infrastructure. City officials stated that many of the residents' concerns are already addressed by ongoing or planned projects.

Key initiatives include the reconstruction of the park in Gotovčeva Street, which will feature improved greenery, lighting, and enhanced accessibility for persons with disabilities. Additionally, two sports fields have been renovated, and a new staircase is planned to better connect the kindergarten with the eastern part of the neighborhood. Asphalt repairs are also scheduled for the street in front of the kindergarten.

Regarding healthcare, the City of Split has provided space to the Split-Dalmatia County for a new outpatient clinic and family medicine offices, for which a public procurement process for renovations has already been launched. To address waste management, the city plans to install semi-underground containers and increase video surveillance to prevent illegal dumping.
