Split Film Festival begins with media art exhibition and film screenings
The 31st Split Film Festival has commenced with a media art exhibition at Salon Galić, held in collaboration with HULU Split. This marks the return of media art to the festival's competitive program after twenty years. The exhibition features works by artists including Urška Preis, Eric del Castilla, Angela Bedekovic, Matthias Grunsky, Jenna Caravello, and Huang Jianming.
The film portion of the festival officially opens at Kino Karaman with the screening of ‘Az Zeeb’ by Chilean director Rafael Guendelman. The festival's feature film competition includes eight titles, featuring three world premieres and one European premiere. In total, the program will showcase 59 films from 27 countries, including competitive programs for feature and short films, retrospectives, and experimental cinema.
