Split hosts European Judo Hopes Tournament with multiple medalists

The European Judo Hopes Tournament, hosted in Split, Croatia, featured 400 competitors from 97 clubs representing 17 countries. Several young athletes achieved podium finishes during the event.

Representing Judo klub Olimp Vinkovci, Matej Markota secured first place in the under 42 kg category. His club teammate Karlo Škrobo earned a silver medal in the same weight class, while Tena Segat took silver in the +63 kg category. Other participants from the club, including Filip Markota and Ema Markota, both finished in fifth place.

From the Dubrovnik Judo club Ura Nage, Stela Market earned a bronze medal in the over 70 kg category. After facing several difficult matches, including an eight-minute bout in the opening round, she secured her place on the podium by winning her final match for third place.
