Split hosts historic Italian Navy ship and CROYA yachting fair
The historic Italian Navy training ship Palinuro arrived in the port of Split on October 2 as part of bilateral military cooperation between Croatia and Italy. Built in 1934 in Nantes, France, the 69-meter vessel has served as a training ship for the Italian Navy since 1955, helping thousands of cadets gain maritime experience across more than 300,000 nautical miles.
Parallel to this arrival, the CROYA fair is taking place in Split, blending business and tradition within the yachting sector. The event includes networking sessions such as the Yacht Hop parties and professional seminars regarding Croatian charter and VAT rules. International associations, including MYBA, are represented at the fair, highlighting the global importance of the Croatian charter sector.
