Split hosts inaugural Điraton recreational event

The Split City Red Cross organized the first Điraton, a recreational walking and running event held at the Riva in Split, Croatia. The event attracted over 800 registrants, with an estimated 650 to 700 participants attending on the day.

Organizers stated the primary goal was to promote health, community, and outdoor activity across all generations. Tanja Marinković, the event leader, noted that the event was originally postponed due to poor weather, which ultimately led to higher interest. Tomislav Gojo, director of the Split City Red Cross, emphasized that the event was intended as an accessible invitation to walk rather than a competitive race.

A second edition of the event is already being planned for April 7, to coincide with World Health Day.
