Split signs contract to begin senior care center project on Pazdigrad

The City of Split has signed a contract with design firm Studio Nexar d.o.o. to prepare the project documentation and supervisory services for a new senior care centre on the Pazdigrad site. Mayor Tomislav Šuta and Studio Nexar director Zdenka Šarolić signed the agreement, marking the first concrete step after more than 50 years of planning.

The centre will provide stationary accommodation for roughly 150 elderly residents classified in the third and fourth care categories, and a day‑care facility for 200‑250 users. Additional services will include delivery of hot meals and medication. The project is one of two senior homes announced by the municipal administration to meet the growing demand for elderly care in Split, with construction expected to start after the design phase and required permits are secured.
