Spoleto woman referred to prosecutors for receiving stolen goods and weapons

A 45-year-old woman has been referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Spoleto following a police intervention in Italy. Carabinieri officers conducting a routine check on via dell’Anfiteatro discovered a Citroën C3 parked at the roadside.

Investigations revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Terni several days prior and a formal theft report had been filed by the owner. The woman found inside the car was already under a special public security surveillance measure that required her to reside within the municipality of Spoleto, a condition she had violated.

During the search, authorities also seized a 10-centimeter folding knife with a sharp point. The woman faces charges including receiving stolen goods, possession of weapons or objects capable of causing harm, and violation of residency obligations. The stolen vehicle has been returned to its rightful owner.
