SpoletoNorcia Gravel 2026 attracts 400 cyclists in Umbria

The SpoletoNorcia Gravel 2026 event saw 400 cyclists from across Italy participate in a non-competitive cycling excursion starting from Scheggino. This marked the first gravel event held on the historic Spoleto-Norcia railway line.

The excursion featured four loop routes of varying lengths—30 km, 70 km, 100 km, and over 135 km—designed to accommodate different fitness levels. The paths traversed mixed terrain of asphalt and unpaved roads, passing through scenic locations such as the Nera Greenway, the Campello sul Clitunno springs, and the Rocca Albornoziana and Ponte delle Torri in Spoleto.

The event aims to promote the landscapes, villages, and historical sites of the Valnerina and Umbria regions, positioning the SpoletoNorcia project as a significant brand within the Italian cycling tourism sector.
