Spoltore approves new autism day center in Caprara
Various social and health initiatives are being implemented across Italy to support vulnerable populations. In Spoltore, the municipal council approved a project to establish an autism day center in Caprara. The Asl Pescara will invest 194,000 euros to adapt a former kindergarten for this purpose, providing specialized services for children that were previously only available in other regions.
In Bientina, the “Madonna del Sacro Cuore” RSA and day center is set to open, managed by the Fondazione “Madonna del soccorso”. The facility will accommodate 48 non-self-sufficient elderly residents and five in semi-residential care, employing approximately 42 staff members.
Other regional efforts include the “Socializziamo” project in Matera, which concluded its inclusive paths for 53 young people with autism, and a new “Casa per Anziani” project in Naples led by the Fatebenefratelli to combat elderly loneliness. Additionally, Mantova and Cesena are hosting seminars and programs focused on youth mental health, specifically addressing social withdrawal and adolescent fragility.
