Spoltore Ensemble presents Cavalleria Rusticana

The 44th edition of the Spoltore Ensemble, directed by maestro Giuliano Mazzoccante, continues with a diverse cultural program on August 14 in Spoltore, Italy.

The evening's main event is a semi-staged performance of Pietro Mascagni’s opera ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’ at Largo San Giovanni starting at 21:00. Directed by Marco Iezzi and conducted by Stefano Seghedoni, the production features approximately thirty performers, including the Orchestra delle Cento Città and the BJM Choir. The cast includes Maria Tomassi as Santuzza, Giovanni Formisano as Compare Turiddu, Marzio Giossi as Compar Alfio, Iwona Tober as Mamma Lucia, and Minkyung Park as Lola. Costumes are provided by the Teatro Marrucino di Chieti.

Earlier in the day, Piazza d’Albenzio will host the presentation of the book ‘Ventisette’ by Andrea Scarchilli at 18:30, followed by the presentation of the ‘Gente’ photography catalog at 19:30. Other scheduled performances include ‘Napulammore,’ a musical journey through Neapolitan tradition, and a musical tribute to Ornella Vanosi by Enrica Panza & L’Appuntamento.
