Spoltore launches 44th Ensemble festival and imposes new historic‑centre decor ordinance

The town of Spoltore in Italy opened its 44th edition of the Spoltore Ensemble festival on 12 August 2026. The five‑day cultural programme, directed by Maestro Giuliano Mazzoccante and supported by the municipal administration under Mayor Chiara Trulli, features dance performances, readings, exhibitions and a gala of leading Italian and international artists.

At the same time, the Spoltore municipal council approved a temporary ordinance that bans the placement of chairs, tables, umbrellas and other movable furnishings in the historic centre. Mayor Trulli said, “Puntiamo a migliorare e rendere ancora più bello e ordinato il nostro centro storico,” adding that the measure aims to curb abusive occupancies and create a uniform streetscape while a permanent regulation is drafted.
