Spongano hosts cinema workshops and film screening on adolescence

The Youth Aggregation Center in Spongano will host ‘Il cinema nei percorsi di crescita’ on October 9 and 10. Part of the ‘FUOR DI LIBRO’ project by Ultimi Fuochi Teatro and supported by the Centro per il libro e la lettura, the event uses cinema to explore adolescence and personal growth.

On Friday, October 9, there will be a free screening of the film ‘L’Apprendistato’, directed by Davide Maldi and co-written with Micol Roubini. The film, which has been featured at the Locarno Film Festival and MoMA in New York, follows a 14-year-old boy navigating the strict rules of a prestigious hotel management boarding school.

On Saturday, October 10, Maldi and Roubini will lead a seminar-workshop starting at 4:00 PM. The session is open to educators, teachers, librarians, and cultural workers, focusing on how cinematic language can be used within schools to transform the daily lives of students into narrative material.
