Spookley the Square Pumpkin celebrates 25th anniversary

The children’s franchise Spookley the Square Pumpkin is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a campaign titled ‘25 Ways to Celebrate’. Originally debuting in a book by Joe Troiano, the character has expanded into a multi-media franchise including animated movies, music, and stage productions.

To mark the milestone, Holiday Hill Farm has launched various activities for families and educators. These include a virtual birthday celebration on October 21 featuring a live reading with Troiano, new official costumes from Spirit Halloween, and Spookley-themed attractions at various pumpkin patches and zoos.

Beyond entertainment, the character serves as the official spokesperson for PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center during National Bullying Prevention Month in October, promoting themes of kindness and acceptance.
