Spoon Labs targets 2028 IPO following strong revenue growth

Spoon Labs, an AI media entertainment company, has initiated preparations for an initial public offering (IPO) targeted for 2028. The company has issued requests for proposals (RFP) to major domestic securities firms, aiming to select lead underwriters by the third quarter of this year.

The company reported a significant growth trend in the first half of the year, with operating revenue reaching approximately 57.5 billion won, a 78% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth is driven by its two primary platforms: the audio social platform ‘Spoon’ and the global short-form drama platform ‘Vigloo.’ Both services reported that overseas revenue accounts for more than 60% of their total earnings.

Vigloo has shown particularly rapid expansion, with its monthly active users (MAU) increasing approximately 6.1 times year-on-year as of June. Spoon Labs is also focusing on building an AI-driven content ecosystem, integrating production, distribution, and settlement through tools like ‘Vigloo Partners’ and the AI-powered ‘Vigloo Studio.’
