Sport Boys docked two points in Liga 1 over unpaid player debts

The FPF Licensing Commission has deducted two points from Sport Boys in the Liga 1 2026 cumulative standings. The sanction was issued due to financial failures by the club's current administration regarding unpaid debts to former players.

The Association of Professional Footballers of Peru (SAFAP) has expressed strong opposition to the club's repeated failures to meet financial obligations. According to SAFAP, there are three overdue installments owed to players who represented the club in previous seasons, despite facilities reportedly granted to regularize these payments.

This administrative penalty complicates the club's sporting situation as it attempts to move away from the relegation zone in the league standings.
