Sport climbing debuts at South American Games

Sport climbing makes its debut at the South American Games in Argentina. The competition features athletes competing in three Olympic disciplines: Bouldering, Lead, and Speed.

Brazil is represented by six athletes in the inaugural event. The delegation includes Anja Köhler, Mariana Hanggi, and Felipe Ho in the Bouldering and Lead categories, Rodrigo Hanada in Bouldering, Davi Peres in Lead, and Pedro Egg in Speed. Winners of the competition may secure spots for the Lima 2027 games.
