Sport Club do Recife dismisses coach Gilmar Dal Pozzo

Sport Club do Recife has announced the dismissal of head coach Gilmar Dal Pozzo and assistant Emerson Nunes. The decision follows a 2-1 defeat against Ceará in the 26th round of the Brazilian Série B at Arena Castelão.

Dal Pozzo’s second stint with the club lasted 11 matches, during which he secured three victories, four draws, and four losses, resulting in a 39.4% success rate. The dismissal comes as the team sits in eighth place with 38 points, four points away from the G-6 qualification zone.

This marks the fourth coaching change for the club this year. The club released an official statement thanking the technical staff for their professionalism and commitment during their tenure.
