Brazilian club Sport announced the signing of 27‑year‑old goalkeeper Brenno on a contract that runs until December 2027. The free agent left Fortaleza after losing his place and will compete for the starting spot with incumbent Thiago Couto, also covering the recent departure of Halls.
Brenno, a product of Desportivo Brasil and Grêmio’s youth systems, previously played for Bari in Italy and earned a gold medal with the Brazil Olympic team at the Tokyo 2021 Games. He said, “It is an honour to wear the Sport shirt; I arrive motivated to fight for the club’s objectives.” The club confirmed he is already training with the squad.
The signing strengthens Sport’s goalkeeping options as the team continues its campaign in Brazil’s Série B.
