Sport Club Internacional sells Braian Aguirre to Rosario Central for $1.6 million

Sport Club Internacional has agreed to transfer right‑back Braian Aguirre to Argentine side Rosario Central for a reported US$1.6 million (about R$8.25 million). The deal, which moves Aguirre permanently rather than on loan, will generate a net profit of roughly US$200 000 for Inter after accounting for the original US$1.4 million purchase price. Aguirre will miss Inter’s upcoming league match against Flamengo as he is removed from the squad.

The influx of cash is intended to boost Inter’s ability to pursue a new signing, 25‑year‑old striker Alex Arce. The club’s management sees the sale as a way to increase financial flexibility for the upcoming transfer window while prioritising the acquisition of a forward over retaining a defensive option.
