Sport converts Kervin Andrade suspension into fine

Sport has successfully petitioned the Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva (STJD) to convert a three-match suspension for Venezuelan striker Kervin Andrade into a financial penalty. The club will pay R$ 45,000, divided into three installments of R$ 15,000 per pending match.

The suspension originated from an incident during the Israel State Cup final while Andrade was playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv. This legal resolution follows a similar precedent involving Ceará player Saulo Mineiro, whose Chinese Football Association sanction was also converted into a fine of the same value.

Although Andrade is now legally cleared to play, technical staff led by Mariano Soso may opt to delay his debut to ensure physical conditioning. While he is available for the match against CRB, his expected debut is likely to be on Saturday, September 19, against Juventude.
