Sport draws 2-2 with Operário-PR, remains winless in seventh match

Sport and Operário-PR played to a 2-2 draw on Saturday at Ilha do Retiro in the 18th round of Brazil's Série B. The result left Sport on their seventh consecutive game without a victory, maintaining ninth place with 27 points, while Operário-PR stayed third with 32 points.

Ralph de Carvalho of Escrete de Ouro rated Biel the highest for Sport with a score of 7, noting his goal and overall performance. Coach Gilmar Dal Pozzo acknowledged defensive shortcomings, saying the team “marked in a very low block” and allowed too many goals, but expressed confidence in the squad and highlighted his personal resilience. He confirmed the next fixture will be against Goiás on Wednesday.

The match also marked Dal Pozzo's third appearance in charge of Sport, during which the team has recorded one loss and two draws.
