Sport signs midfielder Patrick de Paula

Sport Club do Recife has announced the permanent signing of midfielder Patrick de Paula. The 26-year-old joins the club on a contract running until November, following a period as a free agent.

De Paula previously played for Palmeiras and Botafogo, where he was once the club's most expensive signing. His career has been impacted by a significant knee injury sustained in 2023. Before joining Sport, he had stints with Criciúma, Estoril Praia, and Remo.

Sport is currently competing in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and is working toward securing a position in the 2027 Série A division.
