Sport Viseu e Benfica announces new signings and staff changes

Sport Viseu e Benfica is undergoing significant restructuring and squad reinforcement for the 2026/2027 season. The club has announced five new signings to strengthen its roster, including Olajide Adebowale, Gideon Okiye, Riliwan Isa, Rodrigo Cunha, and Ihago da Silva.

Daniel Bairreira has emphasized the need to cement the club's project following an atypical previous season. The technical staff has been expanded with the addition of Alexandre Ramos as lead assistant coach, alongside Pedro Arroja, Eduardo Pedro, and goalkeeper coach Carlos Fialho. Mário Cortes has also taken over sports direction.

The club's strategy focuses on a mix of youth and experience, utilizing a larger squad that includes ten new reinforcements. While the team remains young, the leadership aims to establish a stable identity and consolidate the project before pursuing specific divisional promotion goals.
