Sportdigital expands sports rights portfolio with IMG deal

Sportdigital has significantly expanded its sports broadcasting portfolio through a new agreement with the international rights agency IMG. The deal includes rights to eight different competitions across football and rugby.

In football, the media company secured approximately 80 matches from South American club competitions, specifically the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana. Other football additions include the Scottish Cup (from the round of 16 onwards), the US National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) playoffs, and the complete coverage of the 2026 Gulf Cup. Additionally, the Australian A-League has been extended for another two years, with roughly 75 matches per season scheduled for broadcast.

The expansion also extends to rugby, with Sportdigital acquiring rights to selected matches from both the men’s and women’s Rugby League World Cups.
