Sporting Braga beats Buxton 3-1 in England pre‑season, defender Bajrami treated for muscle strain

Sporting Braga continued its pre‑season training in England with a 3-1 victory over Buxton at St. George’s Park. Goals came from Luisinho, Pau Victor and Diego Rodrigues. The win followed a 1-0 win over São João de Ver in the first staged match.

Defender Adrian Bajrami, a recent Swiss signing, suffered right‑thigh muscle pain during the session. Medical staff treated him for muscle fatigue; no serious injury was found and he is expected to miss the next match as a precaution. Other players, including Bajrami, were rested for specific training plans, while goalkeeper Hornicek re‑joined the squad after the Czech U‑20 World Cup and Swedish defender Gustaf Lagerbielke will return later in July. Forward Niakaté continues his recovery.

The match was played behind closed doors, and Braga’s squad rotation highlighted the club’s preparation ahead of the upcoming season.
