Sporting CP and Braga face pressure in football competitions

Sporting CP faces increasing pressure to maintain consistency in the national championship. Former player Nélson has warned that the team cannot afford to lose more points, as they currently trail league leaders FC Porto by six points. Nélson noted the team's intermittent performance and defensive vulnerabilities, specifically mentioning the impact of the two-centerback system on players like Gonçalo Inácio.

Meanwhile, SC Braga is entering a new era under head coach Franclim Carvalho. Following the departure of Carlos Vicens, Carvalho aims to secure a victory in his debut against Gent in the Conference League. Team captain Ricardo Horta expressed a desire to shift the squad's mentality following a period of three consecutive defeats, emphasizing the need to meet the club's high standards.
