Sporting CP integrates returning internationals and youth prospects

Sporting CP has resumed training at the Academia Cristiano Ronaldo in Alcochete as the squad prepares for an upcoming match against Braga. While many international players remain away on national duty, Geny Catamo and Nestory Irankunda have returned to the squad following their respective international commitments.

During a closed-door training match against Atlético, Sporting secured a 1-0 victory. In the absence of several senior players, manager Rui Borges utilized several youth academy prospects. Paulo Cardoso, a 20-year-old winger from the B team, scored the winning goal. Cardoso, who has shown significant growth in Liga 2, is being integrated into the first-team training sessions to bolster the squad's offensive depth.
