Sporting CP sees mixed results in futsal and football

Sporting CP is experiencing varied results across its different athletic departments. In futsal, the team lost its leadership position following a 3-3 draw against Eléctrico. Coach Nuno Dias expressed frustration, noting that despite recording 60 shots with 20 on target, a lack of offensive efficiency led to conceding an equalizer just three seconds before the end.

In the football department, Sporting's Under-15 team secured a 3-0 victory over Portimonense, featuring a goal from Ricardo Quaresma Jr. Meanwhile, the senior squad utilized the international break for a training match against Atlético, which they won 1-0. The match highlighted the emergence of 20-year-old winger Paulo Cardoso, who scored the winning goal.

On the international stage, Sporting captain Gonçalo Inácio was left out of the Portugal squad for the Nations League match against Norway by coach Jorge Jesus. This follows a period of declining market value for the defender.
