Sporting Cristal beats Juan Pablo II 2-0 in Liga 1 Clausura

Sporting Cristal defeated Juan Pablo II 2-0 at the Estadio Alberto Gallardo in the third round of the 2026 Liga 1 Torneo Clausura. The winning goals came from veteran striker Hernán Barcos and forward Santiago González in the second half.

Coach Roberto Mosquera praised the performance, noting the team’s return to form after an earlier exit from the Copa Sudamericana and urging continued humility and work. Midfielder Martín Távara highlighted Barcos’ experience as a confidence boost for the squad.
