Sporting Cristal: Innova rejects takeover proposal

Former Sporting Cristal president Felipe Cantuarias has revealed that Innova rejected a formal proposal from two historical club directors to purchase the team. The rejection occurred several months ago.

Cantuarias criticized the current administration, stating that the club is facing an institutional disaster and lacks the capacity to manage the institution effectively. He noted that Sporting Cristal is currently struggling in the standings, sitting tenth in the cumulative table, which places them at risk of both missing international tournaments and facing relegation.

He also urged supporters not to blame the players or the coaching staff, specifically mentioning Roberto Mosquera, for the team's current difficulties.
