Sporting SAD and SC Braga report record revenues and profits
Major Portuguese football clubs Sporting SAD and SC Braga have reported significant financial growth for their respective 2025/26 and 2026/27 fiscal periods, driven largely by player transfers.
Sporting SAD reported a 74% increase in net profit, reaching €34.7 million. The club achieved a record turnover of €300 million, with player sales totaling €117.2 million. A primary driver was the historic transfer of Viktor Gyökeres to Arsenal for €65.8 million, plus potential variable remuneration.
SC Braga reported a net profit of €17.315 million, with total revenues exceeding €100 million for the first time, reaching €115.682 million. Player sales, including transfers of Roger Fernandes, Simon Banza, and Rodrigo Zalazar, contributed €67.338 million to this total. Despite increased operational costs due to a high number of official matches and Europa League participation, the club's equity reached a record €86 million.
